Key Philosophy

Now, Here's my Key Philosophy....Fashion comes from within. Fashion should not be an externality that someone observes, likes, and incorporates.... thats not fashion, thats pure submission. Instead, it should be a reflection of one's inner soul, their personality shining forth through the grace with which they carry themselves, dress themselves, and somewhat find themselves- all this in the clothes they wear. Some take fashion too seriously, so seriously they close off to everything but what is put on the pedestal of style... other more open minded characters find meaning or creativity in dressing such as vintage mixed with new, mixed with high labels mixed with humble, mixed with a scarf found in the bottom of your drawer made into a belt, mixed with custom shoes, and grandma's old purse. Such is fashion. Some already have it, and master it as they stroll the streets, every outfit an art. Some don't have it nor ever will, stuck to labels and expectations. The rest of us are trying still to discover what it takes, and if maybe we will get it.

Take a look at Mark the Cobrasnake's Photo Compilation- the perfect example. On his journeys around the world, The Cobrasnake has taken it upon himself to document the world's parties by photo. Internationally, these people have style, they're quirky, they're grungy, yes, sometimes they tend to fall into the rocker, leather, black pattern but as a whole they have a style that reflects who they are, and most importantly, they reflect our times.

Now...
Mark Ronson's adorable girlfriend, Tennessee Thomas, is another exquisite example. She is the daughter of Rock and Roller Hall of Famer, Pete Thomas of Elvis Costello, and is known for piecing her outfits from a variety of sources.

She shops LA vintage and her little girl attire consists of lace, doll dresses, hearts, oxfords, and baskets and has made her an "IT" girl in the world of fashion. She is a drummer for the band, "The Like"... come to think of it, I may highlight them in the near future as the Fashion in the Music Industry of the Week...

And thats they key, reflection of the inner person, expreesing quirkiness, individuality, niches, talents, desires, and experiments. We are not mannequins, The Generation is unique.

And P.S: Listen to this song, Wolf Like Me, TV on the Radio!!!

What I call Fashion

To start with, I will address some inspirations for the blog who I believe deserve special recognition. Tyler Riggs, for one, I consider to be a major force in today's fashion industry. He is an American male model who is trendy, he is dark, he has class, and he is versatile.

Next, is English television host and rocker-girlfriend, Alexa Chung. Coming in top in Vogue's December 2009 Style List, this "IT" girl rocks a girly style mixed with a quirkiness that distinguishes her. She and her celebrity friends are changing the London Fashion Industry.

Now, of course, we must consider Emma Watson, the talented young actress turned muse for Burberry's last two campaigns shot by Mario Testino. She is natural, she is elegant, and she is classy. She also is a new face to the fashion world, and although not a model, persay, she is a timeless Fashionista of our generation.

Introduction

Hello, out there. I am a Canadian. I love fashion. I love art. I love style. So much so that I want to blog about it, reach out there, find it, and share it. I am into unique style, fashionable trends, rare finds, and classic pieces, but moreover, I am into discovering those who have a true sense of beauty, and can use amazing techniques such as lighting, matching, and body positioning to open the world to new ideas in the fashion world, to emphasize items, or to simply reflect on the classics of the fashion world.
I will be taking new ideas and old ones shooting people I see in the streets, and taking note of in the world of high fashion.
We can promote the new wave of ideas and focus on the basics such as art and beauty. Our Generation is a new one, we are young, we have ideas that have not yet been squashed, and we can make our dreams reality. We are bringing new standards into the fashion world, and emphasizing the old. We are starting out on the right foot bringing together a delightful combination of fashion, photography, design, and music.
I will stop writing now, and let the blog speak for itself.
Cheers To Fashion! To Our Generation! And to the Future!
